Interstate 90 Reconstruction Project (Updated)
Major work wrapped up in 2023, a year earlier than permitted by the contract. This included reconstruction of the westbound lanes from miles markers 3.5 to 10.5, as well as completion of the final work on replacement or rehabilitation of five bridges. Recorded smoothest number for this section on interstate were recorded in the 20s and lower 30s. Additional information on the work and pictures are available at penndot.pa.gov/I90Projects.

More About the Interstate 90 Reconstruction Project (Updated)Market Street Roundabout
A single-lane roundabout was constructed to address congestion, traffic flow efficiency and pedestrian safety at the intersection of at Market Street (Route 1017), Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 6006), and Water Street in City of Warren. The project also included sidewalks and crosswalks, truck aprons to handle oversized loads, and updated lighting and drainage work. More About the Market Street Roundabout ProjectBayfront Parkway Improvement Project
The purpose of the project is to improve the pedestrian, bicycle and vehicle connections between the Erie business district and adjacent neighborhoods to the waterfront, reduce crashes and future congestion, and increase traffic efficiency at Sassafras State and Holland streets. Preliminary work on the project started in October 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2027.
