​SR 75/A03 Bridge over Norfolk Southern Railroad

This project is for the replacement of the existing bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad in Port Royal.  
Work also includes paving, piping, inlets, manholes, water and  sewer line replacements, sidewalks, guide rail, and pavement markings.

  • Work is coordinated with Norfolk Southern Railroad. 
  • Construction will be performed under a detour using SR 75, SR 3002, SR 35, and SR 333. 
  • Completion expected Mid-September 2023.
  • Project cost:  $4 Million

Mifflin County

​SR 1005/720 Valley St. / Electric Ave

This project is for the highway restoration and resurfacing of SR 1005 in Lewistown.  
Construction includes waterline and utility relocation, full-depth reconstruction of  Valley Street between Dorcus Street and Walnut Street, retaining wall, drainage improvements, inlets, manholes, concrete piping, sidewalks, curbing, ADA curb ramps, pavement markings, and miscellaneous items.

  • Construction will be performed under a one-way detour for southbound traffic, using SR1005, SR 3003, SR 1017, and SR 22EB/Dorcus St. 
  • Completion expected 08/13/2024.
  • Project Cost: $5.4 Million

​SR 3002/ST72 East Charles Street

This project is for the highway restoration and resurfacing of SR 3002 in Lewistown Borough, along with the reconstruction of the SR 8005 and SR 8008 Ramps.
 
Work includes various combinations of concrete removal, road re-construction, milling, scratch and resurfacing, pavement markings and legends, and 
miscellaneous items.

  • Construction will be performed under two detours: 
  • SR 8005 will be detoured using SR 3002, SR 3006, SR 3001 
  • SR 8008 will be detoured using Dorcus Street, SR 1005, SR 22, SR 3002, and SR 1017 
  • Detours will be coordinated with the work on Valley Street/Electric Avenue. 
  • Completion expected 6/28/2023.
  • Project Cost: $1.2 Million
