Project Overview

This project in Muncy Borough will make improvements to the intersection of State Route (S.R.) 405 (Water Street) and S.R. 2014 (Main Street), replace the bridge carrying S.R. 405 over Glade Run, and resurface S.R. 405 from the river bridge to S.R. 2014.

At the intersection, the existing signal equipment will be replaced, the drainage system will be repaired, the eastern leg of the intersection will be realigned, and the curb ramps will be upgraded to meet ADA criteria.

700 feet east of the intersection, the bridge over Glade Run will be replaced.  While mimicking the style of the existing bridge, the new bridge will have a larger opening for stream flow and improved sidewalks.

The entire drainage system between the intersection and the bridge will be replaced.  At the intersection of S.R. 405 and Washington Street, new inlets will be installed along the north curb and the inlets along the south curb will be relocated to better capture stormwater.

To complete the project, the affected area will be milled and resurfaced.
