Contractor to perform concrete patching and asphalt paving between Route 11 and Route 114
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that lane restrictions are planned for this weekend on Interstate 81 between Exit 52 (Route 11) and Exit 57 (Route 114) in Cumberland County so a contractor can perform concrete patching and asphalt paving.
Weather permitting, there will be right lane closures from 8:00 PM Friday, May 31, to 6:00 AM Monday, June 3, on northbound and southbound I-81 from Mile 53 to Mile 56, which is between Route 11 and Route 114.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This work is part of a 12.85-mile resurfacing project that consists of milling, base replacement, concrete pavement patching, minor drainage, ADA ramps, paving, traffic counter site repair and other miscellaneous construction on Interstate 81 from Route 15/Enola in East Pennsboro Township, to Route 581/Lambs Gap Road in Hampden Township.
New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the prime contractor on this $24.5 million project.
