Hunter Road Bridge in East Mead Township, Crawford County Reopened

08/23/2024

The bridge that carries Hunter Road (Route 2012) over Hunter Run in East Mead Township, Crawford County is reopened after the completion of a partial bridge replacement.

The bridge closed in June 2024 and was expected to reopen in October.

The project included partial removal and replacement of the bridge, including the deck, beams, and barriers, as well as erosion prevention and new guiderails.

Employees at the PennDOT facility in Crawford County fabricated new beams for the bridge during the winter months. The remainder of the work will be completed by Thomas Construction Inc. of Grove City, PA.
