Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 356 over Pine Run is scheduled to reopen this evening, Friday, August 30, between Route 4048 (Melwood Road/Hyde Park Road) and the Route 4054 (La Belle Vue Road) roundabout in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.
Single-lane restrictions will occur next week on Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 6. Having replaced the previous bridge with a precast reinforced concrete rigid frame structure, crews from Ligonier Construction Company will be completing punch-list items like signal and permanent sign work.
This work is part of a $7.7M infrastructure investment which includes the new roundabout constructed at the intersection of Route 356 and Route 4054 (La Belle Vue Road), the realignment of Route 356 and Route 4054 (La Belle Vue Road), milling and pavement overlays, storm water maintenance, and signal upgrades to the existing signal located at the intersection Route 356 and Route 4048 (Melwood Road/Hyde Park Road). The project is anticipated to be complete in May 2025.
