Uniontown, PA—Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that single-lane restrictions at the Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) and 711 (South Market Street/Stahlstown Ligonier Road) intersection are now anticipated through early to mid-October due to inclement weather in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County.
Traffic is being controlled by flagging during weekday daylight hours. All work depends on weather and operations.
Crews from JF Shea Construction are applying an epoxy overlay to the Sgt. Alvin P. Carey and Pvt. John Ewing Memorial Bridge deck that carries Route 711 over Loyalhanna Creek. This is part of a larger $1.6M infrastructure investment project to preserve nine bridges on state routes throughout District 12. Work includes replacing worn and leaking seals and repairing concrete and approach slabs.
Be alert to flaggers and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
