Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that starting next week, a portion of Second Street (Route 54) will be closed in Montgomery Borough, Lycoming County, for a railroad crossing project.
Beginning Wednesday, November 6, 2024, Second Street will be closed between Montgomery Street (Route 405) and Henry Hand Drive, while Norfolk Southern Railway Company replaces the rail seal and asphalt crossing surface.
A detour using Route 405, Interstate 180, and Route 54 will be in place for the duration of the project.
Work on this project is anticipated to be completed on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, weather permitting. Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
