PECO Utility Improvements Scheduled on Several State Highways Across the Philadelphia Region06/01/2023 King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County Delaware County Montgomery County - Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) at the intersection with Church Road in Lower Merion Township;
- Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Eastburn Road and Fairview Road in Upper Merion Township;
- Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 263 (York Road) between Brooks Street and Warren Street in Upper Moreland Township; and
- Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Church Road and Argyle Road in Lower Merion Township.
Philadelphia Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
