Core Borings Planned Next Week on I-95 South Ramp in Center City Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that core boring operations will continue next week on the southbound Interstate 95 ramp to westbound Interstate 676 in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

The work is for PennDOT's upcoming I-95/GR6 project scheduled to begin in 2024. Section GR6 will reconstruct I-95 between Frankford Avenue and the Vine Street Expressway interchange. Improvements to the interchange are also planned.
