King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Digital Message Sign (DMS) replacement will begin next week on Interstate 476 in Delaware County and Interstate 76 in Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, June 5, and Tuesday, June 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on I-476 in both directions between Marple Road and Darby Road in Marple and Haverford townships, Delaware County;
- Wednesday, June 7, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on eastbound I-76 between Waverly Road and Mill Creek Road in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County; and
- Wednesday, June 7, and Thursday, June 8, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on I-476 in both directions between Beatty Road and Baltimore Pike in Springfield and Nether Providence townships, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
