Seal Coating and Line Striping Operations Scheduled on Several State Highways in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that seal coating and line striping operations are scheduled on several state highways on Monday, June 5, through late June, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Chester County.

The work locations are: 

  • Little Conestoga Road between Route 82 (Manor Road) and Marshall Road in West Nantmeal and Wallace townships;
  • Yellow Springs Road between Route 29 (Morehall Road) and Route 252 (Valley Creek Road) in Tredyffrin, East Whiteland and Charlestown townships;
  • Church Road between Pikeland Road and Pickering Dam Road in Charlestown Township;
  • Valley Hill Road between Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Yellow Springs Road in Charlestown Township;
  • Byers Road between Route 401 (Conestoga Road) and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in West Pikeland, Uwchlan, and Upper Uwchlan townships;
  • Newcomen Road between Ship Road and Route 401 (Conestoga Road) in West Pikeland, Uwchlan, Charlestown townships;
  • Daisy Point Road/Pughtown Road between Route 23 (Ridge Road) and Kimberton Road in West Vincent, South Coventry, and East Vincent townships;
  • Birmingham Road between Brintons Bridge Road and Sconnelltown Road in East Bradford and Birmingham townships;
  • Brintons Bridge Road between Creek Road and Birmingham Road in Birmingham Township;
  • Wylie Road between Creek Road and Birmingham Road in Birmingham Township;
  • Westbourne Road between U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) and Route 926 (Street Road in Westtown and East Goshen townships;
  • Delchester Road between the Delaware County line and Goshen Road in Willistown Township;
  • Warren Avenue between Providence Road and Paoli Pike in Willistown Township;
  • Wawaset Road between Route 52 (Lenape Road) and Route 842 (Unionville Wawaset Road) in Pocopson Township;
  • Creek Road between Delaware County line and Route 52 Lenape Road in Birmingham Township; and
  • Guthriesville Road between Route 322 (Horseshoe Pike) and Little Washington/Lyndell Road in East Brandywine Township.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All operations are weather dependent and subject to change.  

The work is part of a PennDOT project to perform sealing coating operations on state highways in Bucks and Chester counties.

Asphalt Maintenance Solutions of Center Valley, Leigh County, is the general contractor on this $6.2 million project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
