Philadelphia Water Department Utility Improvement to Close Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Philadelphia Water Department will be performing water main construction on Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia beginning Monday, June 17.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • Monday, June 17, through Friday, June 21, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Frankford Avenue will be closed and detoured between Belgrade Street and Master Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Belgrade Street and Master Street.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Philadelphia Water Department will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
