Night Work Continues at Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in Lancaster County

Nighttime traffic restrictions on Centerville Road tonight through Thursday night; next week on WB Route 30

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that night work will continue this week on Centerville Road at the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County.
Work on Centerville Road includes placing pipe between Estelle Drive and the westbound Route 30 ramp to Centerville Road. This work will be performed tonight, Monday, March 20, through Thursday, March 23, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Traffic will be restricted to a single lane with flaggers providing traffic control.

Then, from Monday, March 27 through Thursday, March 30, there will be pipe work along westbound Route 30. The right lane of westbound Route 30 will be closed each night from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.

This work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction. The project includes work on Centerville Road from Cornerstone Drive to Marietta Avenue (Route 23), and Marietta Avenue from Centerville Road to Stony Battery Road.

JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
