Accomac Road Repair Project to Begin in Hellam Township, York County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that repairs to Accomac Road (Route 1037) in Hellam Township, York County, are scheduled to begin tomorrow. The road is expected to be closed for about four weeks so a washed-out section of embankment can be repaired.

The contractor will begin work at 7:00 AM tomorrow, Thursday, March 23. A detour will be in place using River Drive and Furnace Road (Route 1008).

Mitchell Knorr Contracting of Bloomsburg, PA, is the prime contractor on this project.
