Traffic Restrictions Next Week in Wrightsville Borough, York County

Lighting study to be conducted in area of proposed roundabout

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions next Tuesday night in Wrightsville Borough, York County, so a lighting study can be performed at the location of a proposed roundabout at the 5-point intersection of Route 462 and Route 624 (Hellam Street) with North and South Second streets.

Information received from measuring the existing lighting levels along the roadways leading up to the intersection will be used for designing the brighter lighting within the roundabout and its immediate approaches.

Brief closures will be in place between 9:00 PM and midnight Tuesday, March 28, at four locations at the intersection: North Second Street between Hellam Street/Route 462 and Locust Street, South Second Street between Hellam Street /Route 462 and Orange Street, Hellam Street between Second Street/Route 462 and Front Street, and Hellam Street between Second Street/Route 462 and Third Street.

Closures will last around 30 minutes each. Only one location will be closed at a time. Detours will be in place using the local road network.
