Bridge Replacement Project has Started on Hempt Road (T-551) in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County


Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a bridge replacement project has begun on Hempt Road (T-551) in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County. The bridge spans Hogestown Run between Route 11 and Texaco Road.

The bridge is closed. A detour is in place using Route 11, Route 114, and Texaco Road.

All work is expected to be completed by December 18, 2024.

Kinsley Construction, LLC, of York, PA.  is the contractor on this $1,879,083 project.
