Lane restrictions on Route 283
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that an inspection is planned for the eastbound and westbound Route 283 bridges spanning Swatara Creek and Swatara Creek Road in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County. The bridges are located on Route 283 about midway between the N. Union Street and Vine Street interchanges.
Weather permitting, the inspection will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Thursday, September 5, and Monday, September 9. There will be right lane restrictions in both directions of Route 283 during work hours.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone
