Expect Minor Delays on U.S. Route 22 Near Canoe Creek for Road Maintenance

10/01/2024

PennDOT is informing motorists to expect minor traffic delays along a 1.5-mile section of U.S. Route 22 near Canoe Creek through Oct. 4.

The PennDOT District 9 Blair County Maintenance department will be cutting the roadway and excavating a large undercut area in the eastbound lane of U.S. Route 22 between the intersections of Flowing Springs Road and Route 886 (Juniata River Road).

The work will be conducted under temporary traffic control signals and is expected to last three days.

As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, watch for construction personnel and vehicles, and stay alert for direction from temporary traffic control signals.
