PennDOT is announcing slide repair work on Route 4043 (Red Mud Hollow Road) in Ohio Township, Allegheny County will begin Monday, June 24 weather permitting.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Birmingham Bridge (Route 2085) in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will continue Monday, June 24 weather permitting.

PennDOT District 11 is announcing a single-lane restriction on southbound Interstate 79 in Robinson and Kennedy townships, Allegheny County will occur Friday night, June 21 through Monday morning, June 24 weather permitting.

The week of Monday, June 24, 2024, traffic will be switched to the temporary bridge over Birch Creek. The contractor, Nestlerode Contracting Company, will begin the demolition of the existing bridge and construction of the new structure.

The week of Monday, June 24, 2024, the contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, will continue work on the new lighting system along Interstate 180 in both directions and on the exit and entrance ramps at Exit 20 (Fairfield Road). Motorists should expect the shoulder to be closed where work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 5:00 AM and 2:00 PM, weather permitting.

The week of Monday, June 24, 2024, the contractor, HRI Inc., will continue work on the bridge replacement over Lawshe Run. Additional work includes miscellaneous construction work throughout the project area including adjusting manhole covers and ADA ramp adjustments. Work will take place during daylight hours.

​Motorists are advised that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Developers I (BPD-I) will begin pre-construction activities for the I-80 Over Lehigh River Bridge Project in preparation for the start of the replacement of the I-80 bridges eastbound and westbound over the Lehigh Gorge State Park and Lehigh River in Carbon and Luzerne counties.
