Birmingham Bridge Joint Replacement
Project Overview
The scope of work for the SR 2085, A05 (Birmingham Bridge) project consists of replacing one existing tooth dam with a modular expansion dam and removing nine existing strip seals which will be replaced with new strip seal dams. There is no ROW or utility involvement anticipated. The project may also include maintenance of the detour route which may include, but not limited to, roadway patching, milling, and resurfacing.
Project Location
The Birmingham Bridge is located over the Monongahela River and CSX Railroad in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County.
