Sumneytown Pike Intersection Safety Improvements

Overview

This project involves safety improvements to one (1) existing signalized intersection and two (2) existing unsignalized intersections along Sumneytown Pike and Ridge Road in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County, PA. 

The improvements that will be made to improve safety include:
  • Traffic Signal upgrades and the addition of left turn lanes at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Barndt Road. A realignment of Ridge Road is anticipated.
  • A new traffic signal and the addition of left turn lanes at the intersection of Sumneytown Pike and Ridge Road/Old Skippack Road
  • Lighting upgrades at the intersection of Ridge Road and Barndt Road
