Bethlehem Pike Lane Closure Due to Sinkhole in Springfield Township, Montgomery County

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that northbound Bethlehem Pike has encountered a right lane closure between Hillcrest Avenue and Stenton Avenue in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, due to a sinkhole.

The northbound right lane will remain closed until roadway engineers can determine the extent of the damage and develop a plan to repair the roadway.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
