​King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that paving operations are planned Thursday night on southbound Interstate 95 through the ongoing permanent reconstruction project at the Cottman Avenue Interchange in Northeast Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Thursday, October 19, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 at the Cottman Avenue Interchange for placement of the concrete deck on the outer section of the new southbound bridge.
  

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The temporary roadway structure will remain in place until the outside sections of the new bridge are completed later this year. Traffic will then be shifted onto the completed outer sections while work on the center section of the bridge continues into 2024.
