PennDOT Reopens U.S. 1 South (Roosevelt Expressway) Ramp to I-76 West in Philadelphia Following Bridge Repair

12/29/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the ramp from southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) to westbound Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) and City Avenue reopened this evening following bridge repair. The ramp bridge had been closed and detoured since Tuesday, December 26, due to structural damage sustained by a large vehicle strike.

PennDOT’s contractor performed bridge repair operations on Friday, December 29, before reopening the overhead ramp bridge to traffic. Additional repair work will be scheduled at a later date to perform more permanent repairs to the ramp structure.
