​Indiana, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting motorists that the road closure on State Route 66 (River Road) in Parks Township, Armstrong County is being extended through August 11 as maintenance crews repair a pipe.

Due to a combination of weather and delays in receiving materials and equipment, Route 66 (River Road) will remain closed through August 11 between Industrial Park Road and Montgomery Lane.

The detour for this closure will take motorists across the Leechburg Bridge onto State Route 4092 (Leechburg Hill Road) to State Route 56 to Vandergrift and back across the Vandergrift bridge back onto State Route 66 (River Road).
