​Box Culvert Replacement on Freeport Road in Summit Township, Butler County

​Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a box culvert replacement project on Freeport Road (Route 356) in Summit Township, Butler County.

The box culvert on Freeport Road over a tributary to Coal Run will be replaced in a multi-phase project beginning May 13, 2024.  This project will consist of roadway reconstruction and resurfacing.

Temporary traffic signals will be in place for the one-lane traffic pattern.  A detour will be in place for properties on Hinchberger Road.  Motorists will travel on Freeport Road to Headland Road to Simon Road to Hinchberger Road.

Contractor, Allison Park Contractors, Inc. of Gibsonia, PA, will be completing this $1.9 million project which is anticipated to be completed in December 2024.
