Route 910 Bridge Replacement Starts Monday in Indiana Township

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing replacement work on the Route 910 (Gibsonia Road) bridge over Rawlins Run in Indiana Township, Allegheny County, will begin Monday, July 17 weather permitting.

Beginning at approximately 7 a.m. on Monday, bridge replacement work will begin on Route 910 between Indianola Road and Bayer Drive. To allow this work to occur, Route 910 will close at the bridge location continuously through Tuesday evening, August 8. All traffic will be detoured.

  • From Route 910, turn onto Locust Hill Road (Route 1006)

  • Turn right onto Guys Run Road

  • Bear right onto Fox Chapel Road

  • Turn left onto Dorseyville Road

  • Turn right onto Harts Run Road

  • Turn right onto Saxonburg Boulevard (Route 1013)

  • Follow Saxonburg Boulevard back to Route 910

  • End detour

West of the Closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

  • Turn right onto Guys Run Road (Route 1011)

  • Bear right onto Fox Chapel Road (Route 1006)

  • Turn left onto Dorseyville Road

  • Turn right onto Saxonburg Boulevard (Route 1013)

  • Follow Saxonburg Boulevard back to Route 910

  • End detour

Work will include excavation and removal of the existing bridge, installation of a new box culvert, drainage improvements, paving operations, signage, guide rail updates, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction activities.

The prime contractor on this $922,834 project is Independence Excavating.
