Northbound Route 885 Boulevard of the Allies Ramp to I-579 Closure Friday Morning in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing the closure of the ramp from the northbound Route 885 (Boulevard of the Allies) to I-579 in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Friday morning, December 1 weather permitting.

The ramp that carries traffic from northbound Route 885 (Boulevard of the Allies) to I-579 will close to traffic from approximately 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. Friday morning to allow for deck repair work. Traffic will be detoured.

Posted Detour

  • From northbound Route 885, take the ramp to Route 19/51 toward the Liberty Bridge

  • Cross the Liberty Bridge and continue through the Liberty Tunnel

  • Turn right onto North 51/North Truck 19 toward the West End

  • Take the ramp to West 376/South 19 toward Carnegie/Pittsburgh International Airport

  • Take the left-hand ramp toward South 19 toward Banksville Road

  • Stay left to take the ramp to South Truck 19/51 toward Uniontown

  • Merge onto westbound I-376

  • Take the ramp to South Truck 19/51 toward Uniontown

  • From southbound Route 51, take the ramp toward Downtown

  • Continue through the Liberty Tunnel and cross the Liberty Bridge

  • Take the ramp to North 579/279 to 28

  • End detour

PennDOT crews will conduct the work.
