Eastbound I-376 Parkway East Ramp Closure Underway in Churchill

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing an eastbound ramp closure on I-376 (Parkway East) in Churchill Borough, Allegheny County is underway.

The eastbound I-376 on-ramp from Churchill is currently closed to traffic continuously around-the-clock through late November, as crews continue work to conduct concrete median barrier replacement, roadway rehabilitation, expansion dam replacements, concrete rehabilitation, modified concrete overlays, paving, and bridge painting on the Parkway East. Traffic will be detoured.

  • From northbound Churchill Road
  • Bear right onto westbound Route 130 (Beulah Road)
  • Turn right onto the on-ramp for eastbound I-367
  • End detour

This work is part of the $70.1 million I-376 Parkway East Betterment Project. Work will include a superstructure replacement over Old William Penn Highway, two bridge rehabilitations over Old William Penn Highway/Lougay Road/Sunset Drive and Thompson Run Road/Thompson Run/Union Railroad, and six bridge preservations along the I-376. Throughout the project motorists can expect long-term single-lane restrictions, several weekends with traffic down to a single lane, and a long-term crossover in 2025. The improvements on the 4.5 miles of the Parkway East between the Churchill/Route 130 (Exit 79B) and Monroeville/Route 48 (Exit 84A) exits are anticipated to conclude in the fall 2026. Swank Construction Company, LLC is the prime contractor.
