Line Painting Operations Continue this Week in District 11

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists that line painting operations on various roadways in Allegheny and Lawrence counties will occur Tuesday through Saturday, May 28-June 1 weather permitting.

Work to repaint lines will occur daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the following locations:

Allegheny County

  • Route 19 from West View Borough to Butler County

  • Ramps on Route 65 between I-279 and the McKees Rocks Bridge in the City of Pittsburgh

  • Route 4024 Ferguson Road in Hampton and McCandless townships

  • Route 4064 Peebles Road in McCandless Township

Lawrence County

  • Route 224 from I-376 in Union Township to Route 18 in the City of New Castle

  • I-376 from Union Township to Mercer County

  • Business Route 422/Route 422 from Route 224 in the City of New Castle to Old Youngstown Road in Union Township

  • US 422 Bypass in Union, Taylor, and Shenango townships

Roadway line painting is an important part of PennDOT’s highway safety initiatives. Paint lines provide direction, delineation, and guidance to motorists.

Generally, PennDOT is not responsible for paint on vehicles.

Motorists should use caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area.
