Route 119 Ramp Closures Scheduled to Begin Next Week in Fayette County

Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 would like to inform motorists of ramp closures on Route 119 in the City of Uniontown and North Union Township, Fayette County are scheduled to begin Monday, July 10, weather and operational dependent.

Ramp closures and detours will occur as follows:

Monday, July 10 – Friday, July 14

  • The southbound Route 119 off ramp to Route 40 will be closed. Motorists will utilize southbound Route 119 to Route 3009 (Walnut Hill Road) to northbound Route 119 to Route 40. 

  • The Route 40 on ramp to southbound Route 119 will be closed. Motorists will utilize northbound Route 119 to northbound Route 51 to southbound Route 119. 

Monday, July 17 – Friday, July 21

  • The northbound Route 119 off ramp to Route 40 will be closed. Motorists will utilize northbound Route 119 to northbound Route 51 to southbound Route 119 to Route 40. 

  • The Route 40 on ramp to northbound Route 119 will be closed. Motorists will utilize Route 40 to southbound Route 119 to Route 3009 (Walnut Hill Road) to northbound Route 119. 

Crews from Tresco Paving will be performing surface improvement work.

This work is part of a $4.9 million project for surface improvements on various locations in Fayette County. The project includes milling, base repair, patching, asphalt paving, tree trimming and pavement markings. The project is anticipated to be complete in September of 2023.
