Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 would like to inform motorists that a portion of Route 711 (Springfield Pike) is scheduled to close between Hawkins Hollow Road and Rasler Run Road in Springfield Township, Fayette County.

The traffic impact will allow crews from C.H. & D. Enterprises, Inc. to perform preservation work on the existing structure carrying Route 711 (Springfield Pike) over Rasler Run. 

This work is part of a $2.5 million bridge preservation project which is expected to be complete in July 2024. It consists of: 

1. The replacement of the existing structure carrying Route 711 (Ligonier Street) over Tubmill Creek in Fairfield and Saint Clair Townships, Westmoreland County.
2. The superstructure replacement of the existing bridge carrying Route 711 (Ligonier Street) over Hendricks Creek with pre-stressed concrete spread box beams, abutment rehabilitation, deck replacement, and minor approach work in Fairfield Township, Westmoreland County.
3. The preservation of the existing structure carrying Route 711 (Springfield Pike) over Rasler Run with a four-inch reinforced concrete distribution slab, barrier repairs, and minor approach roadway work in Springfield Township, Fayette County.

The closure is anticipated from Friday, August 4 through Monday, August 7 depending on weather and operations. 

Posted detours will be in place for all traffic.

Northbound on Route 711 (Springfield Pike)

• Left onto Rich Hill Road.
• Right onto Breakneck Road.
• Right onto Quail Hill Road / Buchanan Road.
• Right onto Clinton Bypass Road / Poplar Run Road.
• Right onto Popular Run Road.

Southbound on Route 711 (Indian Creek Valley Road)

• Right onto Popular Run Road.
• Left onto Popular Run Road / Clinton Bypass Road.
• Left onto Buchanan Road / Quail Hill Road.
• Left onto Breakneck Road.
• Left onto Rich Hill Road.

 Northbound on Route 711 (Springfield Pike) 

• Right on Route 119 North (Memorial Boulevard).
• Right on Route 982 North (Pleasant Valley Road).
• Right on Route 31 East (Three Mile Hill Road / Donegal Road) to Donegal.

Southbound on Route 711 (Springfield Pike)

• Left on Route 381 North (Indian Creek Valley Road / Indian Creek Road).
• Left on Route 31 West (Donegal Road / Three Mile Road).
• Left on Route 982 South.
  
• Left on Route 119 South (Pleasant Valley Road).
