Route 331 Brush Run Road Bridge Replacement Begins Next Week in Washington County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a portion of Route 331 (Brush Run Road) is scheduled to close beginning next week between Route 231 (Breezy Heights Ridge Road) and Hickory Nut Road in Independence Township, Washington County.

PennDOT Washington County Department Force Bridge Crew will be demolishing the existing bridge over Brush Run and replacing it with a precast concrete box culvert and wingwalls. The $600,000 infrastructure improvement project will also include approach roadway widening, repaving, and guiderail replacement.

The closure is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 11 and continue through mid-November depending on weather and operations.

A posted detour will be in place utilizing Route 331 (Brush Run Road), Route 231 (Breezy Heights Ridge Road) and Route 844 (Jefferson Avenue).
