Route 356 Reopening Tomorrow in Westmoreland County

10/19/2023

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 356 between Route 4073 (White Cloud Road) and Route 56 (Leechburg Road) is scheduled to reopen tomorrow, October 20 in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.

Daytime intermittent single-lane restrictions with flagging may occur weekdays on Route 356, Route 4073 (White Cloud Road), and Bonfire Shortcut Road for roadside activities and pavement restoration. Potential traffic impacts are anticipated through early December.

This $15.9 million investment will improve safety on Route 356 between Route 4073 (White Cloud Road) and Route 56 (Leechburg Road). The project included realignment of several intersections, milling and pavement overlays, storm water maintenance, and the replacement of four culvert boxes. Route 356 closed in March when construction began.
