Route 519 South Main Street Railroad Crossing Replacement Begins Next Thursday in Washington County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing the upcoming replacement of the railroad crossing on Route 519 (South Main Street) between Boone Avenue and Collier Street in Houston Borough, Washington County. 

This segment of Route 519 (South Main Street) is scheduled to be closed from Thursday, October 26 until Tuesday, October 31. A detour will be in place utilizing: 

  • Route 519 

  • W. Pike Street 

  • Racetrack Road 

  • Interstate 79 

  • Route 519 

Crews from Kennedy Railroad Services – a contractor for The Pittsburgh & Ohio Central Railroad – will be performing the work. 

This notice is being issued as a public service announcement. This is not a PennDOT project. 

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
