Route 1016 Little Mingo Road Bridge Replacement Begins Next Week in Washington County


Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a portion of Route 1016 (Little Mingo Road) is scheduled to close beginning next week at the intersection with Sugar Run Road in Nottingham Township, Washington County.

The closure is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 1 and continue through mid-June depending on weather and operations.

 A posted detour will be in place utilizing Sugar Run Road and Mingo Church Road. Little Mingo Road will be open to local traffic only from Sugar Run to Beagle Club Road.

The closure will be in place to allow crews from Frank Gavlik & Sons perform bridge replacement work.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X
