​Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is advising motorists that Route 51 is currently closed in both directions between Mount Vernon Avenue and Fayette Street in the City of Uniontown, Fayette County due to an unsafe building structure. 

A southbound Route 51 detour is in place utilizing North Mt. Vernon Avenue, West Fayette Street, Route 51 (Pittsburgh Street). 

A northbound Route 3019 (Morgantown Street) detour is in place utilizing Fayette Street, Stewart Street, Main Street.
