UPDATE:  Public Meeting and Hearing Announced for Route 30 Western Section Project in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Engineering Districts 11 and 12, along with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invite the community to view the public plans display for, and participate in a public hearing regarding the Route 30 Western Section Project in North Versailles Township, Allegheny County and North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County. 

The scheduled meeting serves as notification to the public that the project is being evaluated as an Environmental Assessment (EA) under the National Environmental Policy Act. Proposed design features have not changed since the previous public meeting, but plans will be displayed for public information. 

The Environmental Assessment associated with the project may be reviewed and commented upon at the following date, time, and location. Representatives from PennDOT and the project team will be available to answer questions and take remarks.

The Route 30 Western Section Project includes reconstruction work on Route 30 for intersection and corridor improvements from/between Route 48 in North Versailles, Allegheny County (western limit) to/and Carpenter Lane/Leger Road in North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County (eastern limit). 

Public comments will also be accepted online and via traditional mail (ATTN: Joshua Zakovitch) from Tuesday, April 23 to Saturday, May 25.  In addition to the public meeting, the EA can also be viewed and commented on at the North Versailles Township building, North Huntingdon Township building, the PennDOT District 11-0 office, the PennDOT District 12-0 office, and the FHWA PA Division office. 

The in-person public meeting location complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and is accessible to individuals who have disabilities.
