Belle Vernon Driver License Center to Close May 16 for Repairs

Belle Vernon, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that its Driver License Center located at 960 Rostraver Road in Belle Vernon will be closed for facility repairs beginning on Thursday, May 16, 2024, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

“Ensuring our driver license center facilities are maintained while minimizing service interruptions is very important to PennDOT,” said PennDOT Deputy Secretary for Driver and Vehicle Services Kara Templeton. “These repairs will be made in a timely manner to minimize the impact to customers as much as possible.”

The work being completed includes foundation maintenance and related repairs. Due to the nature of the project, the Belle Vernon Driver License Center location will require a three-day temporary closure for the landlord to safely complete the needed repairs. The closure affects both driver licensing and photo services.

During the closure, customers may visit the following alternate locations for driver licensing and/or photo services:

  • Washington Driver License Center, 250 Oak Spring Road, Washington.
    • ​Hours: Tuesdays – Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM
  • Jeannette Driver License Center, 1100 Lowry Avenue, Jeannette.
    • Hours: Thursdays – Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM
  • Bridgeville Driver License Center, 1025 Washington Pike, Suite F2, Route 50, Bridgeville.
    • Hours: Tuesdays – Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM
  • Uniontown Driver License Center, 855 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown.
    • Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 4:15
    • Please note: PennDOT will be opening the Uniontown Driver License Center for full services on Thursday, May 16 from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM due to the Belle Vernon closure.
Upon the completion of the project, PennDOT will reopen the Belle Vernon Driver License Center with additional service availability and days and hours of operation. The location will permanently operate Tuesdays - Saturdays from 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM for both driver licensing and photo services.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; REAL ID pre-verification; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional alerts on X.
