Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that a segment of Route 66 is scheduled to close Monday, May 20, 7:00 AM, between Route 4034 (Orr Avenue) and Route 4099 (Sheridan Road) in Oklahoma Borough, Westmoreland County.

The closure in anticipated until Friday, May 24, 5:00 PM, and a 14.5 mile posted detour –
attached as an image – will be in place using:

• Route 356.
• South Leechburg Hill Road.
• Route 56 (PA War Veterans Memorial Highway/Custer Avenue/Lincoln Street/Washington Avenue/Sherman Avenue/Farragut Avenue/Dime Road).
• Route 56/66 (Jefferson Street/River Road/North Warren Avenue/Kiski Avenue).
• Route 66 (First Street). 

Crews from Norfolk Southern Railroad will be replacing the railroad crossing.

This notice is being issued as a public service announcement. This is not a PennDOT project.

Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
