​I-95, U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) Among State Highways Scheduled for Construction Activities Next Week in Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Interstate 95 and the southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) ramp are among state highways scheduled for construction activities in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on 26th Street between Penrose Avenue and the Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) Interchange for raised pavement markings installation;
  • Friday, April 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the eastbound I-76 and the Board Street (Route 611) interchanges for overhead sign inspection; and
  • Sunday, April 23, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) ramp to westbound I-76 will be closed for bridge inspection. During the ramp closure, motorists will be directed to use eastbound I-76, Montgomery Drive Interchange, and westbound I-76.

Bucks County

  • Monday, April 17, through Friday, May 5, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 611 (Easton Road) between Stagner Avenue and Kelly Road in Warrington Township for trench restoration.

Chester County

  • Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Pottstown Pike between Goshen Road and Boot Road in West Whiteland and West Goshen townships for raised pavement markings installation; and
  • Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on North Valley Road between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin Township for raised pavement markings installation.

Delaware County

  • Monday, April 17, through Friday, April 21, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Wanamaker Avenue between Route 291 (Industrial Highway) and 4th Avenue in Tinicum Township for raised pavement markings installation.

Montgomery County

  • Monday, April 17, through Friday, May 12, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 63 (Welsh Road) between Grist Mill Drive and West Orvilla Road in Towamencin Township for curb and trench restoration.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
