PECO Utility Improvements Scheduled on Several State Highways Across the Philadelphia Region05/26/2023 King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County Delaware County - Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 30, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 420 (Wanamaker Avenue) at the intersection with Route 291 (Industrial Highway) in Tinicum Township; and
- Monday, June 5, through Monday, October 16, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 291 (Industrial Highway/Governor Printz Boulevard) between Route 420 (Wanamaker Avenue) and 3rd Avenue in Tinicum Township.
Montgomery County - Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Eastburn Road and Fairview Road in Upper Merion Township; and
- Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 263 (York Road) between Brooks Street and Warren Street in Upper Moreland Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
