Construction Activities Scheduled Next Week on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Other State Highways in Philadelphia, Chester, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and other state highways in Philadelphia, Chester, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Tuesday, May 30, through late August, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Goodnaw Street and Southampton Road for ADA curb ramp replacement;
  • Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 2, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Rhawn Street between State Road and Oxford Avenue for crack sealing operations; and
  • Thursday, June 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound Spring Garden Street between Art Museum Drive and the westbound I-76 Interchange for bridge inspection.

Chester County

  • Tuesday, May 30, through Thursday, June 1, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 82 (Manor Road) between Route 345 (Bulltown Road) and Beaver Creek Road in West Nantmeal, Wallace, and West Brandywine townships for shoulder cutting.

Montgomery County

  • Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 9, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) between Godshall Road and Bergey Road/Smokepipe Road in Franconia Township for ADA curb replacement; and
  • Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 9, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Harleysville Pike/Main Street) at the Reliance Road Intersection in Souderton Borough for ADA curb replacement.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
