U.S. 202 South (Dekalb Pike) Lane Closure Between Saulin Boulevard and Henderson Road in Upper Merion Township

07/18/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a lane closure is in place on southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Saulin Boulevard and Henderson Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, for sinkhole assessment and repair.

The same section of northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) has been closed since Sunday evening, July 16, due to pavement failure following sinkhole repair on Monday night, July 10, through Wednesday night, July 12.

Northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) will remain closed, and southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) will be reduced to a single lane approaching the Henderson Road Intersection until PennDOT engineers can assess the extent of the new damage and develop a plan to perform additional repairs to reopen the highway safely.

During the northbound closure, motorists will be directed to use Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard to access northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike). Local access will be maintained up to the closure.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
