PennDOT Reopens All Lanes on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) Following Sinkhole Repair in Upper Merion Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) has reopened in both directions between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, following sinkhole repair.

This same section of U.S. 202 was closed in both directions on Monday night, July 10, following the discovery of a large sinkhole. The highway was reopened on Wednesday night, July 12, following sinkhole repair by PA American Water.

On Saturday night, July 15, the left lane was closed on northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) just after Henderson Road due to pavement failure. On Sunday night, July 16, northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) was closed completely and the right lane closed on southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) was closed.
