Lane Closure Planned Monday Night for I-95 Permanent Reconstruction at Cottman Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia

09/29/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that overnight construction activities next week will reduce northbound Interstate 95 from three lanes-to-two lanes through the ongoing permanent reconstruction project at the Cottman Avenue Interchange in Northeast Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The temporary roadway structure will remain in place until the outside sections of the new bridge are completed later this year. Traffic will then be shifted onto the completed outer sections of the overpasses while work on the center section of the bridge continues into 2024.

For more information on the permanent reconstruction project, visit PennDOT's I-95 Cottman Avenue Updates page.
