Pavement Marking, Sign Installation Planned on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) in Hilltown and Hatfield Townships

11/09/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pavement marking and sign installation will occur on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, and Hatfield Township, Montgomery County, under a project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • Monday, November 13, through Friday, November 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a periodic weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) between Township Line Road and Unionville Pike.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Kuharchik Construction, Inc. of Exeter, is the general contractor on this $7.5 million project, which is financed with 100% federal funds.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
