Construction Planned on I-95 North Ramp in Center City Philadelphia

11/12/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) installation will occur on the ramp at Lombard Circle and Columbus Boulevard to northbound Interstate 95 in Center City Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Traffic normally using the ramp will be detoured to the northbound I-95 ramp from Columbus Boulevard near Catharine Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

The ITS work is being done under PennDOT's $329 million I-95/CAP project to replace, expand and improve the existing covered section of I-95 and improve multi-modal connections between Center City and the Delaware River waterfront.
