11/30/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that Carver Street under Interstate 95 was closed permanently today in Northeast Philadelphia for construction of a new southbound ramp that will connect I-95 directly to Tacony Street at the relocated Carver Street underpass.

The ramp construction is part of PennDOT's $268 million I-95 Section BS2 project to reconstruct I-95 in both directions between Margaret Street and the relocated Carver Street.

Motorists will continue to have access to James Street from Tacony Street by using Fraley Street.
